Layers

Description

This is an indigenous egg-laying chicken, found in most parts of western Kenya.

• Leghorn – High egg production, lightweight, mostly white eggs.

• Rhode Island Red – Hardy, brown egg layers, excellent for beginners.

• Isa Brown – Hybrid layer, produces up to 300 eggs per year.

• Sussex – Dual-purpose but excellent layer of large eggs.
